Atlantic was formed by Mike and David Sokoll after two years of looking for the right business. The opportunity to serve others and leave time for our service to Our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ was important to us. The business allows us to work with people from all backgrounds, nationalities, cultures and philosophies of life. We know that money is necessary to all businesses and that access for smaller and a start-up business is often limited. Businesses are comprised of people who are working with passion toward a goal; working to create employment for others; building a better community. Bio. Mike Sokoll:
Mike is a father of three adult children and has been married to Patti for 34 years. His son David is his business partner. Mike graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1971 with a B.A. in Psychology and earned a Th.D. from New England Baptist Theological Institute in 1992. Prior to starting the Atlantic Group with his son, Mike spent 30 years in sales and business management with the last 22 years at Barnes Group, Inc. He also has been president and pastor of the corporation of Providence Baptist Church since 2001. Encouraging others to their fullest potential is his heartfelt desire. Bio. David Sokoll:
David, a young man of 30. David earned an Associates degree from CCRI in 2001. He has worked in several fields including Industrial Sales, Organic Farming, Retail Produce and Optical Lens production. David has worked since he was 15 and paid his own way through college. He also financed his six month trip to Australia where he worked on farms. David traveled to Liberia, West Africa for three weeks in ’07 and return again in ’08 to continue his work with a church group that is helping to rebuilding from the 14 year civil war.
